University Housing Move-Out

University Housing is introducing a service to make moving out easier for residents. They have an agreement with Collegeboxes as an authorized service provider affiliated with UW–Madison. Students need to contact Collegeboxes directly to make their own arrangements, based on their needs. Students are given boxes and labeling material. Costs will vary based on the number of boxes ordered and other services students choose to purchase.

Students who are returning to University Housing in fall: Collegeboxes will store furniture, carpeting, and boxes over the summer and deliver their possessions into their new rooms. This means that when your student arrives on campus in the fall, his or her things will be there; all they need to do is unpack.

Students who are NOT returning to University Housing: Collegeboxes will pick up boxes and ship them to the student’s home address.

To use this service, students need to place an order online at www.collegeboxes.com for a pick-up appointment, which are assigned on a first-come first-served basis for May 9 (Friday), 13 (Tuesday), 14 (Wednesday), and 15 (Thursday). On the Collegeboxes Web site, scroll down through the colleges and universities listed to find UW–Madison. Contact them early for the best choice of dates and times. For more information about this service visit the Collegeboxes Web site or call 866/269-4887.
