Go Big Read

UW–Madison invites parents and students to participate in Go Big Read, its first common book program. Initiated by Chancellor Biddy Martin, the program engages members of the campus community and beyond in a shared, academically focused reading experience. This year’s selection, In Defense of Food: An Eater’s Manifesto by Michael Pollan, examines the modern American food landscape and the deceptively simple question of what we should eat. The book will play a central role in discussion groups, campus lectures, and interactive events beginning this fall. Copies of the book will be easily available for interested students. More information is available at the Go Big Read Web site.
