Cybersecurity and Computing by the Numbers

An annual survey conducted by the university’s Division of Information Technology (DoIT) and sent to a random sample of students found that 28 percent of students now own a tablet and that nearly all (99 percent) students use laptop computers for personal use or schoolwork at some point. Eighty-eight percent use a smartphone or mobile device — up from 67 percent in 2012.
