The Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery, which opened in December 2010, is a visionary public-private partnership that creates two world-class biomedical research institutes. The first floor, referred to as the Town Center, is open to the public and is designed to provide visitors with a range of activities. This unique space includes three food venues, two media walls, the second-largest collection of Mesozoic plants in the world, hands-on discovery niches, and more.
